Megan Shields is a 2024 graduate from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Dance and Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. She began dancing at the age of four, and has trained in various styles of dance, later expanding her passion into teaching young dancers and presenting her own choreography.

From 2017-2022, Megan toured pre-professionally across the state of Wisconsin with Kids from Wisconsin, serving as Dance Captain (2019-2020) and Children's Outreach Program Intern (2022). While in college, she performed in UWSP's dance productions, presented original choreography, and worked as a substitute dance instructor.

 

Megan’s professional performance experience includes appearing as a featured singer/dancer in Bello’s Circus Extreme Variety Show (2023) and performing in multiple productions with Fort Totten Little Theatre (2024–2026). Most recently, she appeared as Aunt Em in The Wizard of Oz, where she also served as Dance Captain and Children’s Director.

Currently, Megan is a 4th Grade Teacher at Olga Brener Intermediate School in Shawano, WI, and choreographs for the local high school’s musical theatre program. Megan is thrilled to be Signature Steps' 2027 guest choreographer!
